Fortnite Tale: Mysteries of Fortnite

Mixed reviews from my 3rd graders
I bought this book for a few of my reluctant readers who love Fortnite. I thought it would be perfect for getting them more excited about reading. The few of my 'diehard' Fortnite players who started this book couldn't get into it. They said the first chapter was hard to understand.I read the book too and found it hard to follow. I wouldn't recommend it to other teachers.A third student loved it . She wrote this review:Fortnite Tale – Mysteries of FortniteReview from Ellery, 3rd Grader" I thought this book was fantastic. I liked it a lot. I liked how the book started on land and then went into the game Fornite. The writer helped me get a good picture of what was happening. When one of the characters died, I could picture how he just disappeared. My favorite part was when John was in the Fortnite game and he figured out that Fate might have died.I think this book would be good for students in 3-5 grades who are familiar with Fortnite. Amazing and very entertaining
I absolutely love this book. My son who does not read much had his head in the book for about an hour reading this. He really enjoyed it and is waiting for the second installment. Thank you for making this book!

Got my gamer to read - and be happy about it!
My son was estatic to get this book. He struggles with reading but hasn't been able to put this one down. When he took it to school, he says all of his friends wanted to read it, too. Definitely a hit.

For future writers
Grandson (age 9) received it as a gift. Read it very quickly. He didn't like the way you have to write your own ending and said the author got lazy. His sister (age 11) told him she would write an ending for him. She likes to write stories, so I would suggest this book for kids would like to write their own stories.

Dialogue heavy but good.
Good book for the most part. It did capture the attention of my son and made his report project fun because he loves anything fortnite. It is very dialogue heavy and can be a little confusing for younger readers. There’s no introduction just kind of throws you in the story and you have to kind of figure it out or assume things. He was really confused after reading it so I had to read it with him a few times to figure out the story line for his project. But overall I recommend for kids especially if they don’t like reading but love Fortnite.

Perfect for my reluctant, Fortnite obsessed reader
My 8 yr old loved it. Read it in a couple days, and he hates reading. Hope to see more of these.
