Malaysian Trumpet Snails (MTS) from (24 Snails)

My snails arrived alive and well, even with an extra USPS delay. I ordered with the non-expedited shipping, and found the creation of the shipping label vs when the package was actually mailed a bit confusing. The snails were packaged well. When reading all the reviews, I was setting my expectations around a 50% survival rate. Over five hours, all but 6 of the 24 snails have moved away from where I placed them. I know MTS can stay in their shell for days at a time, so I will monitor the others. My snails were all full size adults. I've attempted to add a picture to give others ordering some idea of what I received.

There is a doa guarantee, but it doesn't mention that they don't guarantee during temperatures above 90 or below 40. Mine all arrived dead, but the paperwork inside the box says that if the high or low of the temperatures are above 90 or below 40 they don't guarantee them to be alive. I wish it mentioned this somewhere on the Amazon site. Disappointed that it doesn't say anything about it. I would have waited a few weeks to order if I had known.

One thing that I did not like is the way the snails were packaged. They were wrapped in a wet paper towel, inside of a plastic bag, inside a bubble wrap envelope.I suggest that the seller should have put more cushion with some type of insulation in a box with a "Live Animal" label, or something of the sort.Other than that, every snail arrived alive and healthy. Happy with my purchase!

I live in Maryland which obviously gets cold in the winter. I have received fish in the mail in the winter before with heating pads and insulation. This however, had no heating pads and the water was very cold. Every single snail was dead.It’s nice that the disclaimer about “extreme” temperatures came in the box rather than giving a warning ahead of time.If you live in cold climate DO NOT BUY

We’re packaged nicely but the snails never moved .kept them together in one spot for three weeks and they never moved.

I bought 24 snails for my turtle tank, and they are a great addition. They appeared to be in good health upon arrival, and many of them quickly buried themselves in the gravel. I've had them for a few weeks now, and can find about half of them on any given day.
