This adapter works with the 11" IPad 2018 it charges and I can listen to the earphone at the same time.Time will tell how long it will last but since I received it it has been working properly and I am using it on a daily basis to make sure it continues to work if not return it before Amazon closes the return date.If it breaks I will revised the review.Update January 22nd : Still working it charges and you can listen to the Ipad at the same time.

A cheap product that doesn’t deliver!
It doesn’t charge and play sound at the same time, it does one or the other so it’s pretty much useless to me. A complete waste of money..

Don't connect to thunderbolt 3 port, will damage
Item initially worked as intended and allowed both charging and audio at same time, but broke when attached to a thunderbolt 3 port on laptop. Now it only works in either a charging or headphone mode but not both.

Didn't work for One Plus 7 Pro
Purchased for my OnePlus7 Pro. Adapter did not work for this device sadly. It seems to recognize the charger but when you try to plug in the headphones the entire adapter stops working. Into the garbage it goes :(

Worked with Pixel 3 XL
When plugging a cable into the USB-C port it sticks out about 1mm, and you can see a very small sliver of the contact metal; it doesn't fit flush like other USB-C ports. Other than that zero complaints. I could simultaneously charge and listen to music on my Pixel 3 XL.

Updated product works on phone
Updated review: seller sent a new item and it works. I can simultaneously listen to and charge my device. Thank you for reading this review and listening to my complaint.Old review: While each individual function works, they don't simultaneously. I wish I could give it 5 stars, but I can't. Yes, the thing allows you to charge and yes you can listen, but each individually. Once you try to do both at once, it will only charge and you cannot hear through the headphones. I discovered this on a trip I took last month and was irritated by the outcome. Before anyone asks, I've tried it with 3 different pairs of headphones, all of which work, so the headphones are not at fault. So, no, this product will not let you charge and listen at the same time. Please avoid if you want it to do both at once.

Does exactly what it says, fixes my problems
As the owner of a phone with a USB C port but no headphone jack, and a great pair of standard headphones, I have come into the problem (as have countless others) where I am listening to music but my phone needs to charge. So I bought this adapter. What I like is that it's not just a USB C splitter with two female USB C ports at the end, instead one is a headphone jack, so I don't have to daisy chain my USB C to headphone jack adapter with this.Male USB C cables do not sit flush to the female USB C port on the end, which is strange. It still works fine, but not what I expected. It also allows my phone to charge quickly (screen says "charging rapidly")If you have your phone charger connected to the female USB C port on this device and a pair of headphones plugged in as well, and then disconnect the charger, the sound will stop. Then you have to re plug in your headphones. Weird, but whatever.Sound quality is very good. Actually sounds better than the adapter that came with my Pixel. The adapter heats up a little bit when you use it. Not to a worrying temperature, but enough that you can notice it. Makes me concerned about its guts, maybe it has some low quality or poorly engineered components that are going to fail over time? Not sure how it will hold up over time. Just like all cables these days, it doesn't have much of a protector where the short cable meets the connectors, so it could wear out over time. But the build quality feels good. All in all I'd say it's a decent little adapter, I wish it was cheaper (I'd say $15 is reasonable) but it does what I need and was cheaper than the others.EDIT: As I just noticed, when it is plugged in I cannot use the microphone on my phone. So I've taken away one star for that, because it removes functionality I need.

Pixel 2 Problems
The device works well until you receive a phone call. Then it doesn't know whether to use bluetooth or the wired connection. Also, when you try to switch between the different sound options, Pixel 2 seems confused and won't let you actually commence with the phone call. You end up having to restart the phone without being plugged in. I asked a question before writing this review for some help to see if there was a configuration that I was missing. If someone could help, that would be great. I will update my review.
