VIOLETTA Seed Potatoes An early main-crop variety Violetta potatoes have smooth dark blue or purple skin and dramatic dark blue flesh. Normally described as a salad variety however Violetta can also be sauted, steamed, roasted, boiled or baked. The sweet delicate flavour and floury texture of Violetta potatoes works well in savoury dishes and is especially eye-catching in mixed mash. Maturing fairly late the tubers of Violetta are long or long oval shaped and their dark skin and flesh make them a very attractive crop. In trials Violetta seed potatoes have shown good resistance to bruising and splitting and high resistance to dry rot. We supply Violetta seed potatoes as Scottish Certified Seed. Best potato I've ever grown
Got loads of delicious potatoes from this.. and they have brilliant purple flesh..ever had lavender coloured mash! Bought cos James Wong said they were the best for flavour..and of course all that purple - more antioxidant. Will grow again next year
