It worked with no drama. Plug and play and read my XQD card from my Sony camera perfectly.

Was one of the lowest priced readers on Amazon. Arrived quickly. Unit is not too small, but it is compact. The entire unit from 'mouth' to tip of USB cable is about 8".Plugged it into my computer and after a short delay for my computer to install the driver, the reader was ready for use with no other action required from me.The USB3 seemed to work pretty fast - But I had nothing to compare it to.The card reader doesn't feel cheap or fragile - BUT the card hangs up a little as it comes out because there is a gap just inside the 'mouth' and it grabs the card and can make it fiddly to remove. So far it is only an inconvenience and a worry.I'm happy enough, would buy again if I needed a 2nd unit, but NOT if this one failed - LOL.

I just received this XQD reader and I am very pleased with it. I use a SONY XQD G 120GB card in a Nikon D500 camera and transfer the files to a Lenovo Windows 11 laptop. The reader was plug-and-play on a USB 3.0 slot on my laptop. It is VERY fast for transferring files from the XQD card to the laptop and for reading directly from the card. It is much faster and also much easier than transferring the files directly from the D500 to the laptop. It is also much faster than using a high-speed SD card in the SD slot of the laptop.

I've bought three of these from expensive to cheap. Not one has worked on my computer. Two were USB-c and one USB. The computer doesn't even acknowledge that they are plugged in for any brand. I now have a very expensive camera with a card I will never be able to use for backup or anything. Really wish they hadn't switched technology. and yes, my computer is fine, state of the art in fact.

I haven’t got this thing to work. I guess you have to download the software for but I just pull it off. My camera works fine, but I figure it’s good to have in case I need it.

This saves me from the headache of using Nikons mobile app. I can plug directly into my iPhone or iPad mini and use Lightroom on the go. If you need content uploaded asap out in The field, add this adapter to your camera bag!
