Perfect companion to 'The Gospel Project'
I own two copies of this Bible Storybook. We use one in our Sunday School class, with 4, 5 and 6 year olds. The other copy we have at home, for my own children to look at. (Ages 2, 6 and 8.)Our Sunday School class is following The Gospel Project curriculum from Lifeway. This Bible follows along exactly with that, including the Big Picture Questions and the Christ Connections for each week. Though I did notice that some of the Big Picture questions or answers are slightly different from the leader guide, for example on The 10 Commandments lesson. This is a storybook, so it has summaries of each Biblical story, rather than the actual text of the Bible. It does have Old Testament and New Testament title pages. And it does tell you where to look for each story in your actual Bible. It does not have a list of the books of the Bible or divisions for each book. Instead it has 12 icons that match up with The Gospel Project curriculum. It does cover more Bible stories than other children's Bible that we have owned. I do like this.I plan to buy The Big Picture Interactive Bible for Kids, Hardcover: Connecting Christ Throughout God's Story (The Gospel Project) for my 8 year old when it is available. The illustrations are somewhat Disney-esque. They do include some nice details though and they match the ones that we use in Sunday School, so that is nice to have a connection between class time and home study. The point of the "Big Picture" and The Gospel Project is to connect every story with Christ. So each story does have a Christ Connection. These need to be reworded or explained when you are talking to preschool and Kindergarten kids. I do wish they would have simplified some of them, to make it easier for younger children to understand. To be honest, we don't really use the interactive part of the Bible with the phone app. We don't own a smart phone. My Kindle Fire does have a QR code reader and I can use that to access videos for some of the more well known stories, like Creation, Noah, Samson, David & Goliath. It takes you to a website that has a small youtube style video.I do recommend this Bible Storybook to the parents of the children in my Sunday School class. I would also recommend it to families who aren't following The Gospel Project in Sunday School and just want an in-depth childrens picture Bible. My 2 year old loves flicking through the Bible to find the picture of baby Jesus.

Review: The Big Picture Interactive Bible Storybook
Loved learning about the Bible. One original opinion, I had about the book was that it would be a quick read. Turns out it took me a while to read it, but I enjoyed the short chapters. Makes me feel more confident about trying to read another long book.Readers really into religious studies or ethics may really like this work.Definitely deserves five stars because of:1. Great pictures2. Easy to read chapters3. Amazing topic4. Deep ideas5. Clearly stated morals.

The Truth of Scripture Simplified
I LOVE this Bible! I read it to my 3, 4, and 6 year old daily. Each section has a large colorful picture on one page and the Bible story on the other. What I love about this book is that it is real Bible stories told in an age appropriate way. I feel like a lot of other children's "Bibles" try to be cute or lack substance. This is the truth of Scripture written in a compelling way. It ends every story by tying its meaning to Christ, and then asks a question for the kids to think about. I highly recommend!

Love, but app no longer exists
This is a great Bible to bridge between toddler story bibles and the real Bible. Text is great for the 5-8 crew and always points to Jesus. When we first ordered, the interactive element worked but the app is no longer supported and you cannot find anymore, which does take away a fun element my kids really used to enjoy.Nevertheless, we continue to use and appreciate it!

Would recommend
I bought this Bible to replace the Jesus Storybook Bible and I am so glad that I did. It has so many more stories from the Bible and the text is a lot more accurate but still suitable for small children. Each story has a Christ connection, so every story points to Christ. There are also interactive pieces and several well done video to accompany many of the stories. The only con I would mention is that there is a great lack of diversity among the pictures. The nations are not represented in this Bible.

great plus added bonus of using the iphone
my boy age 5 actually has his own iPhone, (it was cheaper then buying an ipod) so he has the app and I used that to get him interested bc he has many many biblke books and he always asks for something else at bedtime (no not the bible!) so after the first few nights we no longer use the app, because the iPhone is usally ran down by then, and he still listens and enjoys the stories and the illistrations. I like how it goes along with the actual scriptures. its a good buy, esp with easter coming up!

Great picture story Bible!
This is a wonderful Bible story book. The stories are clearly written and easy to understand. The pictures are colorful and interesting. Each story has a short explanation of how it relates to the overall redemption of Christians by Jesus. Every few stories there is a code to easily tap on my Kindle Fire, or use a tablet or smartphone to read. The video stories are very well done and in different art styles. My five year old boy loves this book and always looks forward to the stories. I highly recommend this Bible storybook.

LOVE this!
LOVE this!! We read one every night and I love that my kids are not only learning about everything in the Bible (not just the funs stories). My favorite thing is that every story has a "Christ Connection" and is centered around Christ and salvation. My children are learning about God's love, wrath, mercy and grace. It's written simply enough that my 6yo can read it but it doesn't skip over anything. This has resulted in some very good conversations with our children.
