KVH Industries 01-0366-07 TracVision TV1 Satellite TV System

KVH people were very helpful when I needed help. The direct tv people were a waste of a lot of time .

My KVH TV 1 stopped receiving one transponder thus eliminating any viewing of programs that used that transponder (Dish system). Called KVH and was told to by-pass the splitter but that didn't fix the issue. Was then told that the problem may be in the coax from the antenna to the hub (only channels using transponder 12 were a problem all others worked fine). Then I was told the problem was the LNB (system is 24 months old) and that I could buy a new one for $410 or I could send the antenna and hub back.to KVH for trouble shooting. As either option would require me to climb 40' above the waterline and at 86, that doesn't seem likely. As I said good communicatons but no help with the problem.

This product does not work !!! I bought it to use on my boat as it is designed for. I made numerous calls to the factory and was told to do several things that would improve reception. I finally gave up and replaced it with an Intellian and have had absolutely no issues with their unit.

Finally get to watch tv on a boat.

The unit worked well for about 2-1/2 years then failed. Will cost more than $1,000 to replace the main board in the antenna unit. Don't waste your money on this product.

We purchased a TracVision (an expensive unit) for our motor home less than four years ago. We had intermittent issues with it from the beginning. We have had the program updated but were informed it would never work well with our Dish program. Recently it stopped working altogether. When we called the company, we were told it was already obsolete, and we would need to buy a new unit. Our current product can no longer pick up two satellites it needs to function. Within four years, we need to buy a new unit. It will not be a TracVision.
